CADDi
The problem
CADDi is a manufacturing intelligence software company on a mission to democratize your drawings and supply chain data. Aside from a few news stories about funding announcements, the SaaS company came to Bear Icebox as an emerging Japanese brand with limited exposure in the United States. CADDi did not understand the U.S. media landscape and needed a full-service PR agency partner to help build a brand narrative and an identity in the critically important American media market.

The solution
We hit the ground running, creating a robust PR strategy targeting a blend of national, tech, industrial, manufacturing, supply chain, business, and regional news outlets, as well as influencers and podcasters. We also consulted on where and how to further develop CADDi’s brand voice in America, leaning on the company’s efforts to be a solutions provider in procurement, engineering, and sales departments for American manufacturers, particularly in the Midwest.
Results
Within weeks, our team had the CEO of CADDi speaking with a top tech journalist in Chicago, being featured in Chicago Inno and the Chicago Business Journal. The write-up about CADDi choosing to make Chicago its U.S. headquarters was a “Top 10 Story of 2023” in the business journal, and the governor of Illinois tweeted his congratulations!
We helped accelerate CADDi’s brand story, leading to significant achievements, including being named to Fast Company’s Annual List of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2024, winning the 2024 SaaS Awards, and receiving the Top Tech Startup Award. CADDi was also featured in major publications such as BigThink, Machine Design, and Manufacturing Dive. Altogether, we’ve secured more than 80 media placements, reaching more than 50 million unique monthly visitors, with over five features in Tier 1 media outlets. These accomplishments cemented CADDi’s position as a key player in the manufacturing intelligence space, particularly in the U.S. market.
